About Madelyn Elena Thompson

 Born in Texas, I was raised in London and Dublin and received my B.S. in Marketing Communications from Emerson College, Boston, and a Masters of Science in Management with Strategy & Entrepreneurship at the Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics in Lisbon, Portugal. I am proud to combine a healthy dose of American roots with an insightful, international perspective to my work. I have a passion for innovation, creative solutions, and working together.

I am currently an Account Based Marketing Specialist at the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), and reside in New York City. Here, I am a skilled copywriter and have also gained experience in operations and data analysis, strong written and communication skills, campaign leadership, event coordination, and team management skills. I have a hands-on get-things-done approach, lived in five different countries in my lifetime, and my past experiences have given me strong communication skills to develop clear messages, assist with planning, and review project details and strategies to support clients’ needs. Customer centricity is key.

I have a working knowledge of Paid Social campaigns, Hive9, Workfront, Eloqua, and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, LSEG Workspace, and the ability to plan and coordinate all logistics, market insights, and reports for the team to support the organization. In addition to my creative thinking attributes, I have also been taking HTML and CSS courses at my firm and continuously learning with online resources to advance my professional and personal skills.

An inspiring leader is one who is aware of their team's efforts and open to ideas. My experience managing teams and bringing people together to develop ideas has encouraged me in my journey to become a good leader at this early stage of my career. 

My two teams at the Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics: WON the 2021 BEST ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARD, and the other was a NATIONAL FINALIST for the 2021 L'ORÉAL BRANDSTORM COMPETITION. 

I enjoy professional writing and have editorial experience developing clear messages and slogans in email marketing campaigns, digital marketing strategies, as well as drafting legal documents for product patents and industry awards. I strive to improve my organizational skills and practices in communication strategies, business development, and innovative strategic projects.
